Dear friends -
Today is the big day! Mom will be going home this morning.
Her rehab has gone exceedingly well. She has graduated from the walker to a cane, but does not even need the cane except for an extra degree of security and stability. It may take several more months for Mom to regain full stamina, but the progress during her stay at PVN has been dramatic.
Mom looks forward to some good Tex-Mex, a trip to the lake, and not being awakened in the middle of the night by a nurse or staff member. She is also eager to visit with friends at home. Please call first to make sure she is not resting (or running around town!).Our family has been amazed and moved by the outpouring of love, support and prayers over the past five months! Our sincere thanks go out to each of you, and the hundreds more who receive these messages indirectly.

Four members of the class of 1954, Gilbert Brown, Ray Cook, Ed Greer, and Larry Martin attended, as well as yours truly. The family asks that memorials be made to the Rachel Fulenwider Scholarship Fund (in memory of Harold's granddaughter) Texas Star Bank, 7890 W.Highway 11, Tom Bean, TX 75489, or to the American Diabetes Association, or the American Heart Association. "May Harold rest in peace, and may light perpertual shine upon him."
